Intercare Corporate Services in Menlyn, Pretoria, seeks to recruit an IT Support Technician.

The purpose of the position is to provide technical expertise in cloud and on-prem computing, to maintain computer systems, answer questions or resolve computer, software and cloud queries. Provide assistance concerning the use of application software, including Operating Systems, Software, Backup and Anti Virus tools as well as network equipment.


CRITICAL OUTPUTS

• To set up equipment and software for employee use.
  
• Install and perform repairs to hardware, software or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
• To design, configure and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.
• To set up, install and test new units prior to handover and monitoring functionality.
• To diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software related problems and replace defective components when necessary.
  
• To receive and prioritize user log calls/requests.
• Management of Backups, AntiVirus and configuration cata
• To trouble shoot less complex problems with remote and local users online/telephonically.
• To visit user branches to analyze, diagnose and resolve application and operating system related problems.
• To plan, coordinate and implement network security measures to protect data, software and hardware.
• To operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Grade 12
• IT related qualification highly advantageous 
• At least 3 years experience as an IT Support Technician & IT Infrastructure.
• Willingness to travel to different localities with own transport.
